Thank you for your interest in the 83 Annual Fiddler’s Reunion in Athens, TX and the Guitars Etc Acoustic Guitar Competition. If you have any questions please call us at 903-292-1733.

You are required to play two songs from any genre of your choice.  You may sing, but the judges will only concentrate on your guitar playing so we do recommend you focus on guitar playing. While Fiddler’s Reunion has traditionally been bluegrass and swing music, we gladly welcome all genres of music.  Last year’s winner was a blues genre and 2nd place was rock, and 3rd place classical,  but all performances will occur on an acoustic guitar.  All necessary sound equipment will be provided, but please make sure your electronics are in working order including a fresh battery for your performance.

The contest will take place on Saturday, May 30th in the afternoon.  All contestants will need to check in by 4pm at the Guitars Etc booth.  The contest will start around 6pm.  Come out for a great weekend of fun and music.  The Fiddler’s Contest starts on Friday night and Saturday night there will be a street dance.

1st Place – $150
